No one wants a room that looks crowded and cluttered or a room that looks like you can barely fit in your bed and foam mattress.
It’s no question that designing small-spaced rooms can be challenging due to its area space being limited and by that it can only mean that it will take so much effort to organize and arrange every piece for a creative design of your apartment.
Here are some design ideas to help you transform your studio-type apartment that will suit your lifestyle as well as giving it a classic design.
A Minimalist Design

Being a minimalist is the best way to go for small-spaced rooms. Go with one theme in mind since having just one creative idea can go in a lot of great ways. If you have one theme to go with, it helps you focus on a specific style and to prevent over-decorating your apartment because if you do, the room will most likely look crowded.
Choosing Neutral or Light Colors

You can tell from a person’s character with how he/she can carry him/herself and how they dress up. And for a studio apartment, it also goes in a similar way. It has got to have its own character and having a specific color gives it its personality.
You may be wondering why most studio apartments go with black and white or plain light colors. That’s because neutral colors create an appearance that the interior space is larger.
Add Small Vibrant and Colorful Pieces

Timely pieces can vary from their size and color. This addition can actually give some distinction to the Noir et Blanc theme. Putting little pieces against the black and white theme actually helps give it a good contrast as well as not projecting a bland design.
It is better to have a moderate enough of vibrancy to a room as to balance out the color palette of your interior design. Colorful medium-sized wallpapers or paintings can really do wonders against a sleek white wall and leather black sofa.
Sleek vs. Curves

Color isn’t just a factor in interior designing. You also have to consider the shapes of every piece of the apartment. If your room has a majority of sleek and industrial design, it would be best to add something round or circular for balancing out those rough edges. In addition to that, you also have to consider each placement of those piece.
Sleek versus rounded. Smooth design in contrast to rough textured outline. They can balance each other like Yin and Yang.
Illusion of a Large Interior Space

One way of saving up the space in a room is having your bed in an elevated area (in which bunk beds are kinda perfect for) and you have an extra space just below it. Use it as your work area or a closet storage. Because having suspended furniture can create and give off the illusion of space.
The Right Furniture

Other than that, setting up your apartment with the right amount furniture can be daunting for anyone who doesn’t want to over-crowd the room.
So aside from elevated furniture to create the illusion for more space, what better way to save up tons of space for your apartment is having furniture that has a lot of functions jammed into one. Having multi-functional furniture is a great addition for your minimalist theme. How about having stairs for drawers as storage or a couch that you can swivel into a bed?
Having just the equal amounts of wall décor, good color palette, and furniture is one of the keys to a great design. From there, get creative at what you want to specifically do.
It’s all about proper color combination as well. So get started on designing your apartment, ASAP! Think outside of the box and let your creativity flow!
