Built in the 50's this amazing cottage was completely redesigned by Brett Mickan Interior Design.
Located on the New Zealand's coast this old house was just a 1950 cottage a few years ago. Then Brett Mickan team came and made this a transitional modern vacation home.
The designer used colors that reflect with the natural surroundings and are in resemblance with the 50's structure of the house.
Among other requests, the client wanted to have a stylish residence but too flashy or pretentious.
The owner's family wanted their friends and guests to feel comfortable enough to put their feet up, while also being stylish enough to feel pampered.
This request was achieved by using a lots of vintage items with injections of contemporary pieces in furniture, fabric and art.
